Anti Aikio - Aigi Fathoms of the Fenlake book
In the first part of the Aigi book series, the main character is young Aigi. He is a human boy, from the lineage of the great flying shaman Vuoláb, but has grown up in the Saivomáilbmi, a world inverted to the human world. Aigi's journey through the worlds of Sámi mythology begins with a struggle for the first ray of spring sunlight and continues with a dive into Saivomáilbmi to search for a childhood friend. On this fast-paced journey, knowledge of gobmis, skaimmadasts, and other powerful beings proves helpful.
Jänkäjärven syöverit (The Depths of Jänkäjärvi) is a different kind of fantasy story that mesmerizes its readers. The story is based on characters from ancient folklore. In the book's illustrations, the sunny Njávežan, the cold and pale Háhtežan, the mighty Stallu, and the ghost of the drowned person, Vesiraukká, receive their visual characteristics for the first time.
